Why commit to excellence in water efficiency?

Water resources in the UK face growing pressure from climate change, population growth, and the need to protect the environment. Collective action is essential to reduce this pressure, with organisations and communities playing a key role. The UK Water Efficiency Strategy to 2030 outlines 10 objectives, many aligning with the Waterwise Checkmark. In England, businesses face a national target to cut water use by 9% by 2038.

Simple water-saving measures can reduce use by 30–67% (Thames Water data). The Waterwise Checkmark helps you demonstrate your commitment to implementing these measures while contributing to a broader movement of sustainable water management across various sectors.
